This is by far the hardest blog we've ever written, but at the same time the one that we felt the biggest need for.
2 years ARTeach, and counting. 2 years full of surprises, celebrations, hard times, and a pandemic that made everyone reassess, shift a bit, move towards a different direction.
When it all started we couldn’t have imaged the obstacles that would come along. All we could think of was our vision, clear and bright - to change the way music and drama are being taught, to bring back the novelty of learning a craft, and not just devoting time to memorize or practice a piece, but devoting time to yourself; to learn, expand, communicate in a different way. At the end of the day, this is what made us do it! Of course, can’t say that we’ve always been 100% successful. But what we can say with confidence is that everyone is different, every approach is different, and we gave our 100% to each and every student that committed to learning with us.
There have been a lot of highlights over these past 2 years. Booking the music provision for our first ever primary school just three months after launching, giving radio and fb live interviews for local communities, providing free online drama lessons to the children of the COVID-19 volunteers in Barnet, surviving the pandemic by shifting to online tuition, and our last one, launching the ARTeach Scholarship Scheme, an annual program that gives the opportunity to 5 successful students to have a month of free tuition and the fees for their Grade Exams paid by us, amongst other privileges. And oh, how impatient we are for our next chapter!
So, Happy Birthday ARTeach! And a big thank you to you all, for your trust, support and love! We see you, we appreciate you, and we love you back!
Cheers to 2 fabulous years! And as we always say, the best is yet to come!
With all the love we have,
Danay & Marlen
