Introduction to Teachers Inset

We are frequently asked to lead workshops for school staff and teachers. These can take a whole day, half a day or take place in a twilight session.

The emphasis for all workshops is practical hands on experience. The aim, for teachers who consider themselves novices, is to develop skills and confidence, and to re-ignite in teachers with previous art training new creative possibilities and/or approaches. Secondary teachers benefit from being inspired by an artist's work in order to further develop their own.

The outcome of our workshops for teachers is, without fail:

  • A really positive fun time spent together (making it incidentally a great team building exercise)
  • Investing in teachers’ creativity means giving them something back
  • Time-out from often stressful jobs means teachers feel re-energised
  • All school staff stand to benefit, from management through to support staff
  • Teachers have the tools and the confidence to take a broader range of materials, techniques and art projects back to the classroom

Inset workshops usually start from the artist’s main art form. To contact the arists, please follow the links below.
