Both Julie Miles and Marjan Wouda offer clay workshops on many different themes and with various techniques suited both to the project and age groups involved.

Workshops range from:

  • a chance to explore 3D form through new materials for the younger age, often drawing inspiration from subjects such as fabulous animals or mini beasts, fish or flowers for the individual;
  • to group work with the production of large-scale ceramic murals or sculptural forms in brick

Most workshops include a drawing element to help with the design or construction techniques - which can be delivered in ‘bite-sized’ pieces - or a demonstration that leads on into the participants’ own exploration of materials.

Most themes from the curriculum can be catered for in all the subject areas - from creatures found pond dipping in science, to illustrating fabulous stories in English. Please contact the artists individually to see what you can do together.
